Case Study: auManager – Android App for Airport Cab Operations

auManager provides a full suite of tools for cab companies working in and around airports. The app supports facial detection for identity validation, trip fare calculations based on GPS distance, and allows real-time vehicle attachment/detachment by administrators. Admins can track drivers and cabs live, ensure timely pickups/drops, and synchronize driver payments securely.

The Challenge

Cab service operators needed a mobile-first platform to track airport pickups and drops, validate customer identity through facial detection, monitor car-driver assignments, and calculate fare based on distance in real time. Manual processes and scattered systems created operational delays and inaccuracies.

Our Solution

We developed an Android mobile application using Cordova, integrated with WebAPI 2 and MSSQL backend. The app allows drivers to view airport arrival and departure schedules, perform GPS-based tracking, auto-calculate trip charges, and capture customer data using face detection. The admin dashboard synchronizes real-time payments, vehicle attachments, and cab movements.

The Results

The launch of auManager streamlined airport cab operations. Real-time tracking, facial detection, and distance-based billing improved passenger experience and operational efficiency. Admins now have full visibility over driver movements and seamless control over driver-vehicle pairings and financial settlements.
